It Looked Like It Was Someones Birthday,

on the opening page of Google,

and it was, Monday was the 180th birthday of John Venn, (1834-1923), he was an English logician and philosopher, he is famous for introducing the Venn diagram, which is used in many fields, including set theory, probability, logic, statistics, and computer science, with out him other mathematicians like Henry John Stephen Smith, could not have arrived at the famous equation,

                  y_i = \frac {\sin(2^{i }x)}{2 i} \text{ where } 0 \leq i \leq n-2 \text{ and } i \in \mathbb{N}.

where would we be without these great thinkers?
