We Had A Quiet Day,

I printed a few pictures,

then in the evening we were out to the Thepprasit Road weekend night market, Za Sha open this evening,

some cloud looking towards Jomtien,

but considering the time of year it has been remarkably dry,

a lot of cloud looking inland, September and October are considered to be the wettest months of the year, but at the moment we have had hardly any rain in the previous few months of the rainy season, so I guess the downpours will start soon,

at first I thought all of these shirts had printed designs on them,

but looking closer they were machine stitched,

a colourful selection of T shirts,

many of them featuring Thailand's National animal,

opposite the bar this evening a cosmetics and a clothes stall,

it appears that the roofing has not reached this end of the stalls yet,

not many people in the food aisles,

 or at the drinks stall,

the second food aisle almost deserted,

at the far end of the row a little more work has been done to the roof,

 a waving cat stall,

selling these felines with waving arms, whenever I see them for some reason I aways think of the 'Hello Kitty' cats, but of course Hello Kitty is not a cat, the company behind Japan's global icon of cute insisted, "Hello Kitty is a cheerful and happy little girl with a heart of gold," brand owner Sanrio says on its website, the shocking revelation came to light when a Hawaii-based academic specialising in the epitome of "kawaii" ("cute" in Japanese) asked Sanrio to fact-check captions for an exhibition she was curating to mark the 40th anniversary of Hello Kitty, Christine Yano, an anthropologist from the University of Hawaii, said she "was corrected - very firmly" by Sanrio that Kitty was not a cat, "That's one correction Sanrio made for my script for the show," the paper quoted her as saying, "Hello Kitty is not a cat, She's a cartoon character, She is a little girl, She is a friend, but she is not a cat, She's never depicted on all fours, She walks and sits like a two-legged creature." so now I know,

on to the pet section, dogs at one end,

 and fish at the other,

 sunset over the market,

just a couple of customers at the bar this evening,

the peanut seller on the steps beside the bar,

tonight we were joined by Brian, after saying our farewells we were off home,

to watch a couple from Inspector Morse after our evening meal, occasionally we have a few nibbles to go with the film or episode that we are watching, these popcorn are mine, you should see the size of the bowl that Diana has got!

and this is the brand that we use, just pop the packet in the microwave then eat, with the hour nearly midnight we were then off to bed.
