How To Celebrate The Beginning Of 2015?

all that was needed was a lot of ping-pong balls, standard household mouse traps and lots of patience, London-based art directors and filmmakers HarrimanSteel created a spectacular chain reaction to celebrate the beginning of 2015, the video, which was filmed to advertise the Pepsi Max drink, was done in-camera with no special effects, just a mirror or two, 'this shoot was optimistic at best and insane at worst, but then if it was going to be straight forward and easy it probably wouldn't have been worth doing in the first place, everyone involved on the shoot rose to the challenge to deliver a film that is as beautiful as it is unbelievable',



the video is fascinating to watch as are the statistics that went into the making of it, 
3 months in the planning,
2100 ping pong balls ordered, 1840 ping pong balls used (1440 white, 200 red and 200 blue)
3600 mousetraps ordered, 1650 mousetraps used 
73 hours of pre production testing, 1 failed attempt
42 anxious people on set
5 saw thumbs, one blister, 12 fast hands
120 metres of LED lights
8m of hamster tube
1 x 4ft hyperbolic funnel
40ml of water and 2 ping pong balls
20kg of dry ice
12m of ducting
72sq metres of Mirror


the video was shot at 1000 frames per second, in an 18 hour shoot day, no special effects, everything was done in-camera with human ingenuity, elbow grease, a lot of patience and a very steady hand or two that resulted in 15 seconds of action (in real time) and 42 relieved and excited people on set, amazing!
