so a trip to the TukCom centre tomorrow,
to have the ink pads replaced, what ever they are,
we had already mapped today out, we wanted to buy some of these,
to go under the tomato pots,
that I had planted yesterday and a few more for Diana's tomatoes she has yet to re-pot,
so off to one of the many the nurseries on the Sumkivitt Road,
but first as we had to pass it we called into the fishing tackle shop on Thepprasit Road as we are going fishing later in the week,
we drove to the biggest of the Nurseries, the one just before Pattaya Floating Market on the same side,
lots of plants,
and flowers that can be seen from the road,
to be safe we parked in the drive way off of the road, and made our way into the main section past the shops shrine,
the first thing we saw,
were orchids,
lots of them, there were of course lots of other plants, shrubs and even trees to look at and buy, but then the bad news, no trays to put our pots in, so we made our way back towards Pattaya, calling in at 2 other nurseries, but none had any trays in stock, so we will try again at some more nurseries next time we are out,
on our way back we called into Jack Levy's office on Pattaya Tai, I had to pick up the insurance certificate for one of the bikes,
it is opposite this shop that always has a nice aroma outside of it if you park next to it,
I had decided to day to rehouse the insectivorous plants I had been growing from seed which we bought at Chatuchak Weekend Market and had grown over the past year,
so first soak some sphagnum moss, you can grow your own, but we bought this packet at the weekend plant market that is nearly opposite the Bangkok Pattaya hospital,
I put some coconut chips in the bottom of the tray,
added the plants,
then filled in the gaps with new moss,
and there they are in front of the lime bush,
after that in the late afternoon we watched Bad day at Black Rock, after our evening meal, the Hungry Sailors followed by The Chase, we then switched to the local cable company TMN,
where we watched The Interview, what a complete waste of time! the jokes, if that is what they were supposed to be were weak and feeble, the acting, well the less said about this terrible film the better, moving on,
we were then treated to Horns starring Daniel Radcliffe well if we thought The Interview was
bad this was even worse! what an awful couple of films, Horns
was really a way out weird movie, of course as he is playing a
part where horns grow out of his head and in our minds he was so type cast in
the Harry Potter movies we just kept shouting out, 'come on Harry get your wand
out and zap him!' then sanity returned with a couple from Rumpole so we were
then off to bed.
What's the latest on the marvelous model train village you painstakingly built some years back Stan?
ReplyDeleteDo you still have it? Still adding to the features?
Dear Mocha Joe, it has come to a stand still, the problem is that the controller, a bit of electrics that controls the trains has failed again, each train has it's own chip that the controller addresses, the problem is that although the company were kind enough to replace the first one free of charge I am putting off buying another one at £279.95, but I will be returning to the UK some time next year so I will take it with in the hope it can be repaired whilst I am there, out of interest this is the link to the controller,

you may have to copy and paste, I have a nasty feeling though that it is not a repairable unit, we shall see next year! best regards, Stan and Diana.
