We Had A Quiet Day,

both Mr. Tony and Mick called round,

but we popped out in the late afternoon to the fair that was being held in the school grounds that is at the beach end of Pattaya Tai, opposite the temple complex,

 there were lots of shops,

selling everything that you might expect,

and as it was in a school lots of toys,

like this spotted and striped giraffe,

 did I mention clothes shops?

 lots of them,

there was a huge 20 baht stall,

 and a comprehensive food section,

 with fresh fruit,

and a sit down bar-b-q- section, where you cook the food you have selected yourself,

and for some dessert how about a candy floss?

 then the fun begins,

 with all manner of games,

and prizes to be won,

we continued our walk around the stalls, the sky looking ominous, it had in fact rained earlier in the afternoon,

we came to the end of the food stalls with this one,

that was just being set up selling sushi,

in the centre of the playground there was the bouncy castle,

and Ferris wheel amongst other attractions for the many families that will be here later,

we were early as it is a night time fair, so a number of stalls had not yet opened,

but having seen all that we wanted to see, and bought a dress or two we made our way past the school shrine and then home,

 for our Saturday night bar-b-q,

for tonight a starter of turkey and sweetcorn soup,

 then make smoke,

 but eventually the charcoal took,

for tonight marinated chicken, garlic bread and a potato,

 on with the bread,

 then sit back and relax,

and wait for the chicken to cook,

whilst that was happening the sky looked like it was on fire,

our meal nearly cooked, this evening we were listening to amongst other things the soundtrack from The Grand Budapest Hotel, it is a film that I guess you will love or hate, for us we loved it and have watched it more than a few times, if you want to listen to the soundtrack click this link, we both liked the use of the hammered dulcimer, strangely enough we featured Dizzi of Dizzi's dulcimers on our blog many years before,

 eyes down and tuck in!

and for dessert a ice cream for both of us, we retired indoors to watch some cable television then approaching the midnight hour we were off to bed.
