We Arrived At The Fishing Park,

full of hope that the pond had been restocked,

as we settled down the sky did not look promising,

 with low grey clouds,

 in every direction,

after an hour or so it became obvious that no restocking had taken place, but I did catch a small one that went back, so 1-0 to me,

although a bit difficult to see a huge yellow and black bee decided to have a bite to eat on some of the flowers near to us,

also difficult to see a wading bird was fishing opposite us,

but try as I might I could not get a clear picture of it,

then my second of the day, all of 2 ounces, but it still counted as one so 2-0 to me,

one of the lakes cats called over, but was totally underwhelmed by the size of our catch as none were big enough for the kitchen, and that I am afraid to say was how the day ended, the owner called by and said that he would restock the lake soon, but he has been saying that every time we have been here since well before my trip to the UK, but you never know, next time the fish will reply when we drop them a line!

if you want to fish here, it is the Mamak fishing park, their map above, it is off of Soi Nub Plan Wan, (spelt as it sounds), turn into the Soi from Sumkivitt, once in the Soi go over the railway crossing and continue for a couple of miles, the road starts to go downhill, near the bottom of it you will see the road the fishing park is in on the right hand side, almost opposite the big pink building on the left, follow that for a while, it twists and turns a bit and the fishing park is on the left next to a soccer ground, there are rods and tackle for hire and bait to buy, plus a fridge full of beer!

next stop to Nick and Maureen's where after a snack of vegetable and prawn spring rolls we had our evening meal,

 fillet of pork with stuffing,

with lots of stuffing and gravy,

eyes down and tuck in, we followed the meal with cheese, biscuits and celery with an ice cream for Diana,

then the serious part of the evening, Monopoly, to keep things brief I won,

by sheer happenstance the dice rolled for me, at this stage of the game I was the only property owner on the board, 8 hotels, lady luck soon made sure that everyone in turn landed on at least one of them each time round, we thanked Nick and Maureen for the kindness and made a move for home, arriving back it was feet up for Foyle's War, tonight, All Clear, and with the end of that we were off to bed.
