I Guess We Have All Heard Of Van Gogh,

and seen his paintings,


but I guess you have never seen one of them as big as this, a 1.2-acre interpretation of Van Gogh’s 1889 painting 'Olive Trees' it was installed by Stan Herd on a commission from the Minneapolis Institute of Art,

 the piece was drawn from a grid,

then the huge work of digging the outlines then filling them began, the good news is that the piece was positioned so that when you fly into Minneapolis on many flights you can see it from the air and naturally call by if you want a closer interactive look, what a neat way to showcase some of your cities attractions.
