This Is For The Man,

or family,

who has everything and wants to keep it and themselves that way after the apocalypse, be it caused by a 'financial breakdown, flesh-melting pandemics, magnetic pole shifts, cyber warfare or Biblical tsunamis', says the blurb, I guess nuclear war should be in there too, the shelter is the brain child of California entrepreneur Robert Vicino who has designed this survival bunker, the marketing is design for those not sure of their own or the governments survival, the blurb reads, 'limited space is still available for those that qualify, members are now boarding, don’t be left on the other side of the door', I liked that bit, don’t be left on the other side of the door, I can almost see the door of the bunker closing,

the company claims to own a network of underground shelters, but the exact locations are a carefully guarded secret, but it’s location is cryptically revealed to be within a one-day drive from anywhere in the Midwest and Eastern seaboard of America, it is said to resemble a very tasteful, comfortable four-star hotel, complete with food supplies, toiletries, linens, medical supplies, a year’s supply of fuel, a deep water well, geothermal heating and cooling, bedroom suites, bathrooms, theatre, dining and lounge areas, exercise equipment and even kennels for pets, there’s a garden area to grow fresh vegetables, plenty of storage space, a good collection of security devices, and pretty much everything else anyone would need to survive a natural, nuclear or even zombie disaster, residents only need to bring themselves, their personal clothing, and any necessary medication,

the theatre above looks so nice, but the complex also boasts it has swimming pools, gyms, prayer rooms, restaurants, a wine cellar, classrooms, a helicopter service, and DNA preservation, in the case of an actual doomsday event, accepted members of the exclusive Vivos club will arrive at one of the bunkers at their own discretion, prior to lock-down, landing their private planes at one of the conveniently nearby airports, from there, they will be picked up by Vivos helicopters and safely flown to the bunker, where they will access their private quarters additional costs are for operational management, staffing, taxes, insurance, maintenance, utilities, and restocking as needed and the cost of buying in before the door closes? in the Indiana facility the company’s website reveals a one-time charge of $35,000 for adults and $25,000 for children for all the remaining spaces, the price is for 1 year of safety, the blurb mentions that the site is 'surrounded by excellent farming, fishing, hunting, and water resources', crikey, at that price it look so nice it would be worth staying there full time!
