Do Not Mess With Fish 215,

and you thought fish were fun!

but you would not think it was fun if you were a fish in the lake at St George Park, Bristol in the UK, it appears there is a problem, too many anglers are fishing there, the question how to stop them? Bristol City Council has the answer, kill all of the fish, problem solved! Rob Acton-Campbell, chairman of the St George Neighbourhood Partnership, said it "would be more expensive to try and move them", it appears that luckily the fish in the lake are contaminated, the Council has recently undertaken a ‘health check' on fish in the lake, and concluded “The fish stock is of poor health with evidence of parasites with heavy loads and bacterial infection”, so when all of the fish have been killed what then? the St George Neighbourhood Partnership supports the aims of the Friends of St George Park and concluded, 'in the long term it will be possible to introduce a new fish stock to the lake providing this is managed well', which sort of brings us back to too many fishermen, the council could of course ban fishing when the lake is restocked, but if that is the case why not ban fishing now and not kill off the fish in the lake? or is that too obvious?
