Day 16

off to the coral island today,

so here we are at Bali Hai pier,

it is just like going on holiday again,

I am not sure but it looks like no work has been done to this building since the last time we were here,

lots of ferries waiting,

and this one was ours,

10 minutes to go,

and we were on our way,

this vessel crossed our stern, I think it is privately owned as I could only see 3 or 4 people on it,

the crossing was happily uneventful,

we passed a fishing vessel at anchor,

about an hour after leaving Pattaya all ashore,

before the beach a few pictures,

and a look at some of the catch,

and the fleet,

we have not seen this many boats here before,

on this one the nets are being readed,

man at work,

as you walk along the jetty there is a beach to the right,

which looks beautiful,

but for some reason, well there is a better selection of food,

we always go to the larger more crowded beach on the left of the jetty,

there are plenty of shops here,

selling everything you need for a day on the beach,

so time for breakfast,

a selection of Thai food for Diana,

and Kai,

and the same for Steve and myself,

next a few ZZZZZZs,

and a swim for the two girls,

then my turn,

forgot the selfie stick again!

let your troubles float away,

we had a great time,

then stalking me from the shallows,

Diana!

what a great day out,

by now the beach had considerably emptied, it seems that tour groups come here in the early mornings then return to the mainland before midday,

I noticed this chap,

using a metal detector,

looking for rings and coins, I was surprised how deep he was at times,

ice cream time!

a quick pose by the rings,

and our day on the island was nearly over,

if you fancy a trip to the island it is just 30 baht per person each way,

and this is our ferry back,

I heard something behind me, some monkeys were making a bit of a din,

they evidently did not like the look of a monitor lizard,

after a shower and a change,

we were out to Walking Street for a meal,

well we ate before Walking Street in the Swiss restaurant in Soi Diamond,

smile for the camera, I think I caught a tad too much sun,

Thai food for the girls, steaks for the boys,

then into Walking Street,

we had a look in all of the usual places,

and had more than a few drinks, after a few more bars it was motorcycle taxis home, a nightcap and we were all off to bed.
