On Our Next Trip To Blighty,

we are planning a few days out on the coast,

one to Eastbourne where with any luck on the beach we will see this, the Stargazer's Cabin which re-imagines the traditional British beach hut, it has a back lit laser-cut facade that depicts constellation maps,

and at night it's laser cut façade is perforated with thousands of small holes which are precisely mapped to form the star constellations of the night sky, LED lights mounted behind illuminate the perforations creating a beacon on the beach that will attract passersby, encouraging them to stop and stare into the night sky as it extends over the far horizon of the English Channel, hopefully it will be installed by the time we are there, the installation was a winner in a competition held by Eastbourne Borough Council, the concept and design by georgekingarchitects.
