We Were Nice And Early,

for our 90 day check-in,

at immigration on Soi 5, Jomtien,

outside it seemed a bit crowded,

 although it was early,

but as it is Songkran next week I guess everyone decided to come in this week,

normally there is one or two people in the queue in front of us, sometimes none, today over 50 in front of us! there was nothing to do but wait, to make matters worse the printer of the officer we saw was on holiday so the notification that is normally removed and a new one printed had to be reused, but in the end we were soon out,

and outside the Surf Kitchen on Jomtien Beach Road almost next to Soi 5,

 an ice coffee to start,

a club sandwich for Diana,

 a prawn salad for myself,

not much traffic on the beach road,

I dropped Diana off at the market, then the bank,

opposite some construction work was going on,

new impellers were being lifted into the water treatment works,

a quick fill up of petrol than on to the site of the weekend night market on Thepprasit Road,

it looks so different in the daytime,

and this was where I was going the 3BB Internet office to pay our Internet bill,

we had arranged to meet up in Friendship, the bike park full as it was market day,

parked up I noticed this motorcycle,

 which the owner had customised,

 in his own unique way,

the good news is that you would certainly see him from afar!

the land next to Friendship now being worked on,

the motorcycle park almost full to capacity,

arriving home the flower on Diana's stinky cactus had still not opened,

and two new buds on this one, it seems strange no flowers on any of them for a long time, then lots from different pots all at once,

a quick shower and change, then off to the weekend night market on Thepprasit Road,

looking towards Jomtien, could it be the same pigeon from last week still enjoying a bird's eye view?

 no clouds looking inland,

I made my way along the stalls and saw the peanut seller on his way to work,

as were the ice cream vendors,

opposite the bar a shoe stall and one selling shorts,

for some reason work seems to have stopped on the construction of the top floor car park,

I made my way to a remarkably quiet pet section,

one of the resident cats having a cat nap,

 sunset over the market,

I made my way uphill towards the street,

and confirmed that work had in fact stopped at both ends of the frame work,

we meet Brian at the bar and chatted the evening away, but before we left the market we crossed the road to have a look in the Iceland Dessert Cafe,

 we made our way inside,

and it looked like what we expected,

 all white with fairy lights,

except some lights hanging from the ceiling,

 and a colorful chandelier,

we ordered a strawberry something, I do not remember what it was called, but it was 189 baht,

it was large so we shared it at home, we were so hungry I had forgotten to take a picture of our beef stew, but Diana remembered to take these two of our dessert, it was one of the nicest desserts we have had for a long time, even dare I say it, nicer than the ones we enjoy so much at Swensens, then it was feet up for an evening of Judge Judy and a couple of Antiques Roadshow's, then for us we were off to bed.
