At First Glance,

the Kingfisher looked so real,

but it is made of wood and paper, not a real feather is used to make this bird,

or any of these, they are the work of London based artist Zack Mclaughlin,

they all look so realistic,

take this barn owl, each one is hand made by the artist and takes just over 100 hours to complete, the body and legs are carved out of wood, the feet and eyes are made from clay and the wing and tail feathers are made from 200gsm watercolour paper with wire for structure, then the body, face and feet which are painted with acrylic paints before coating the whole owl with a few coats of matte varnish to protect from dust and discoloration, not cheap to buy but what fantastic artwork, and no I am not on commission, I just thought they all looked really neat.
