At First These Sculptures May Not Look Different,

from any others,

 but they are all recycled,

artist Kate Kato crafts detailed sculptures of the various mushrooms, flowers, and beetles found within the Welsh valley where she currently resides,

each piece is painstakingly fashioned out of paper that she finds and then tints with natural dyes,

Kato’s work will be a part of the upcoming exhibition “Paper” at Confluence Gallery in Twisp, Washington from October 15th through November 19, 2016. You can purchase Kato’s sculptures either online through her Etsy shop, or in-person at The Craft Centre and Design Gallery in Leeds, UK and no I am not on commission, I just thought it was so neat to make life sized sculptures from scrap paper.
