comes from the northern region of the jungles of Peru,
nothing so strange about that, and only a few days ago we mentioned a really hot chilli potato chip that was so hot it was sold signally, so what makes the Aji Charapa pepper so special? well two reasons,
firstly it is so hot, to measure how hot a pepper is a scale called Scoville heat units (SHU), are used to calibrate the hotness, this pepper comes in at 30,000 – 50,000 SHU, or put another 4
to 20 times hotter than a Jalapeño, although not the hottest it is still one to be reckoned with, but the second reason it is so special is the price, just 1 kilogram of this fiery pepper will set you back a staggering $25,000! the report also mentions that it is not advisable to eat or taste it fresh, so I guess it is pretty hot then!
Do it really can cost that much? If can can i get the contact?
