Whilst Surfing The Net,

I came across this film clip,

of Devils Hole experiencing a mini tsunami, it is a geologic formation located within the Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge, in Nye County, Nevada Southwestern United States, its waters are a near constant salinity and temperature (92 °F or 33 °C), the cavern is over 500 feet (150 m) deep and the bottom has never been mapped, it is known for two primary reasons, firstly it measures seismic activity throughout the world, earthquakes as far away as Indonesia have caused the waters to splash over six feet above normal levels, these seismic waves have been likened to mini-underground tsunamis and have continued to happen even when the earth shakes halfway around the planet and secondly it is the home of the worlds rarest fish, Devils Hole Pupfish, (Cyprinodon diabolis), what a fascinating area, but it is not accessible by the public and is indeed a dangerous place to explore.
