to find the driver was under age, did not have a driving licence, the vehicle had no tax, no insurance and no MOT, (road worthy certificate), the car was also veering from side to side,
and to make matters worse the driver had been drinking, after making further enquires her parents informed shocked officers that 'she'd had a couple of bottles that morning', so it was out with the breathalyser,
a spokesman for Cheshire Police said the officers were in
Runcorn to seize a vehicle for having no insurance when the underage driver rolled up to them in her little pink plastic car, veering from side to side, when officers asked her parents if she had been drinking,
they said she had had "a couple of bottles" that morning, a Cheshire
Police spokesman said: "We’re here to support communities and we pride
ourselves on our community engagement, thankfully, the tot’s reading was clear
and she was free to go." what a great story to cheer up a Monday morning.
