where the land owner will not sell the land and have the building on it demolished, well there is another way out of this problem, in Osaka, Japan, the building owner eventually gave way and let the highways authority put a slip road through his building, it looks strange but it does work, the building called Gate Tower lost 3 floors, but at least the rest of the building is still there.
