The Day Sort Of Started Out Well,

but I kept thinking about something Diana said yesterday,

'Do not forget tomorrow', as usual I changed the kittens litter at 06.00 and feed them shortly after, I checked Diana's passport, so I knew it was not her birthday and I knew it was not mine, the kittens each have their own bowl, but some one, Cable, always wants to move in on someone else's, it was obviously important maybe we signed the Magna Carta, on the 9th? but that was not it, a quick look at what happened today on the On This Day site did not help either,

Cable starts a move on Mariana's bowl, suddenly with the speed and accuracy of a laser guide missile and the impact of a supersonic house brick it hit me, I remembered where we were this time last year,

move completed, no wonder he is putting on weight! we were in the Philippines, today is our wedding anniversary!

so for our evening meal,

into a Grab taxi,

and off to Central festival,

up to the 6th floor, or level 14 as it is known for some reason,

and we made our way,

to the Edge restaurant in the Hilton,

'Cheers!',

Diana took the camera outside,

to take a few pictures,

over the bay,

two of the permanently moored floating restaurants in the bay,

a green laser light cutting through the air,

Diana made her way back inside,

past the pizza station and carvery,

and fresh seafood bar,

time for a double selfie,

Diana chose her starters,

then it was my turn,

but first a look at this evenings carvery, roast beef and Virginia ham, that will do nicely!

a salmon starter for myself,

for our next round of starters, pizza for Diana,

cheese and cold cuts for myself,

tonight for a change I decided on white wine,

we took a break,

next a visit to the sushi bar,

for a few titbits,

Diana then decided on a dessert,

it was made as ordered with your own choice of fillings inside the chocolate lined cone,

by now it was 8.00 in the evening, so I decided on my main course, a slice of beef and Virginia ham with vegetables, but it was not to be, both had sold out, note to self, next time eat the main course first!

as they were so nice the first time round I decided to finish with some more cheese and cold cuts, and followed with some more sushi,

over Diana's shoulder on the next table,

a birthday party was taking place,

'Happy Birthday To You'

by now I was full but Diana was not, she came back with some slices of beef, a new joint had been brought from the kitchen,

 on to desserts,

 and what a selection,

 everything here is so good,

 but the desserts,

 are just so tempting,

 and so well prepared,

 and presented,

 the choice is seemingly endless,

and then to top it all,

the chocolate fountains,

with both light and dark chocolate,

by now we almost had the place to ourselves,

these window side tables were full all evening,

looking in the other direction,

one of the chefs is still busy at work,

what a fabulous meal,

another note to self, remember this date!

well I had to strike the pose,

when we came downstairs it was raining, but luckily there was a yellow and blue cab waiting, so we arrived home safe and dry, then feet up for a nightcap and we were off to bed.
