The Devil Is In The Detail,

or in this case the spell,

I have to admit I do Like the Harry potter films, if you do you might want to look at these, the nice people at Warner Bros have released pictures of the wands used in the making of the films, luckily the author went into considerable detail as to what each wand looked like, above Hermione's Wand, 10¾" long, vine wood, dragon heartstring core,

Dumbledore's Wand (aka the Elder Wand) 15" long, elder wood, Thestral tail-hair core, I was going to make one or these myself, but the shop had run out of Thestrals,

Snape's Wand, no information on what it was made of,

The wand of Lucius's, 18" long, elm wood, dragon heartstring core,
the evil Voldemort's Wand, 13½" long, yew wood, phoenix feather core,

and of course the hero’s wand that Harry used so often, 11" long, holly wood, phoenix feather core, if you want to look at some of the other wands used have a look here, and when Thestrals are back in stock I will let you know.
