and also we wanted some soil to re-pot the tomato plants,
that Nick and Maureen had given us, so as both places we needed to go to were on the other side of the Sumkivitt Road,
we went to both, stating with the weekend plant market,
it is almost opposite the Bangkok Pattaya hospital as you are leaving Pattaya to go to Bangkok,
as well as plants,
some farmers bring in produce to sell,
orchids,
lots of orchids,
I called into one of the fish stalls,
we were running low on fish food,
so I also had a quick look at some of the fish on offer,
like these Siamese fighting fish, (Betta splendens),
I have to say I was surprised to see these discus, (Symphysodon), they normally do not like being moved around, but these looked so nice,
we carried on with our walk,
I know it is a bit early for Easter, but look,
bunny rabbit plant holders,
and some chickens as well,
I stopped at another of the aquatic stalls,
and bought some Tetra fish food,
as well as decorative plants there are fruit tress and bushes available,
I spotted another couple of garden ornaments,
pink flamingos,
next a pottery stall,
with lots of smiling faces,
then a strange one,
I had a look at a few cactus,
then it was time for an ice coffee,
which we drank in the truck, on the way out we stopped to pick up some soil,
we then picked up the kittens, they had recovered from being spayed and neutered, but it appears they have to each wear a cone to stop then licking their scars from the operation for the next week, they are not at all happy about this as you might guess, also I have to bring Mariana back every couple of days to make sure all is well,
next Diana thinned out the tomatoes,
whilst I popped over to Country Favourites to order our Indian meal for this evening, as the owners had just returned we decided on an Indian meal instead if our usual bar-b-q,
it is located in Soi Bonkai, looking towards Soi 17,
and looking toward the Cozy Hotel, it is a tad difficult to find,
I hope this helps, the red diamond, slightly off centre is where Country Favourites is,
next stop the weekend night market, well the pet store that is there and opens in the afternoons every day except Wednesdays,
we should have bought the food yesterday, but as we did not go the market I had to go there today in the afternoon,
then time to relax, poppadom Marsala for starters,
followed by chicken samosa and onion bhajis,
'Cheers!',
next our main course,
chicken tikka masala, lamb kebabs, peas pulao rice, chicken dopiaza and aloo gobi,
we finished with some fresh pineapple,
this is the restaurants menu,
there is a small seating area outside but it is primarily a take away, and very good it is indeed, one of the best in fact if you like Indian food as much as we do,
in the afternoon we watched Deep Impact, a disaster movie we had watched before, but entertaining neither the less, after our evening meal we listen to music and as the midnight hour approached we were off to bed.
What's happened to the stray cat you were feeding recently?
