only yesterday we were committing about police paying their parking fines,
and then today we read about one a few days ago that did not want to pay his parking fine, PC Christian Ciobanu was on duty when his vehicle was issued
with the penalty charge notice, but instead of paying it, he falsified documents and made a false entry on a police database to support an application
to have it quashed, and he was found out! PC Ciobanu was investigated by the
Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards and admitted breaching standards of
professional behaviour in relation to honesty and integrity, at the hearing chaired
by Met Assistant Commissioner Martin Hewitt, he was dismissed without notice,
sacked, no pension, a criminal record and shamed before his peers, but here is
the thing there is no mention of, if he was so dishonest as to falsify evidence on
a police database surely this must put into question every case he has had his
hands on?
