Zero Waste,

or as near to it as you can get,


 is the aim of most manufacturing companies, 

 and here is one that seems to have achieved that goal,

 using the scarps of wood that are left over from making their stools,

 the company uses a resin to combine them in to the round part of the stool you sit on,

 as shown in the diagram above,

and the results are rather pleasing and as a buyer you will know that there will never be another stool exactly the same as yours, the South Korean design studio HATTERN conceived of a hybrid resin and wood seating concept called Zero Per Stool, HATTERN also adopted the same process for a series of resin coasters that make use of scrap wood materials, You can follow more of their recent work on Facebook, what a neat idea.
