Do Pets, Specifically Dogs,

get depressed?

it is an answer a friend of mine from the UK, Dr. David Sands attempts to answer as to why more than fifty dogs have leapt off a bridge and died in the last 50 years,

the bridge is Overtoun Bridge near Dumbarton, Scotland, it seems to have a strange effect on dogs of a certain breed, causing them to heedlessly leap off the side and 'commit suicide',

all of the deaths occurred at the very same spot on the right-hand side of the bridge, all of the dogs who died were long muzzle breeds like Collie, Labrador, or Greyhound, all of the deaths took place on bright, clear days. so has David found the answer? have a look at the video and see if you agree with him, as an aside I meet with David along with Dr, Ford many times in my fish keeping career, in fish keeping circles David is well remembered for his 5 volumes series of books, Catfishes of the World, somewhere in the UK I still have all of my copies.
