Today We Were Out For Sunday Lunch,

so it was glad rags on,

and we were off to the Aroi Pub Resto,

there is an outside play area for kids,

and inside a selection of salads,

and starters,

for the main course, cauliflower cheese, sweetcorn, roast potatoes and carrots,

next the ever smiling Peter at action stations,

ready to carve for today chicken, or a helping of ribs,

Argentinian beef or lamb, all of which we all found were so full of flavour,

and there is a selection of desserts and ice cream,

 also Peter now sells,

 some food items,

I have to admit they are all foreign to me but I am sure that any one that knows about these items will not fail to be impressed,

Mr. Tony and Diana both started on the main courses, beef for Mr. Tony and ribs for Diana,

for myself I went with a starter, a selection of mussels, chicken, tuna, egg mayonnaise and salad potatoes,

then on to main courses, 'Cheers!',

the Sunday buffet is 349 baht per person, but I paid a little extra for the rhubarb pie as a dessert, everything was delicious, there is of course a full menu to chose from, but for us the buffet has everything we liked,

if you want to try the Aroi, just look out for this sign on Sukhumvit on the left, after passing Makro on your right, turn into Soi 89,

go over the railway crossing and after a few hundred yards Aroi is on the right hand side with parking opposite,

arriving home we had a video feast, we firstly watched La Gloire de mon père and it's sequel Le Château de ma mère, both in French but with English sub-titles, two wonderful films about family life in the early 1900s beautifully filmed and scripted, a real 'must see' if you have not already done so,

to round the evening off, The Well-Diggers Daughter, not as light hearted as the previous two films but still a delight to watch, another 'must see' film, we bade farewell to Mr. Tony and watched a few quiz shows and with that we were off to bed.
