This Futuristic Looking Building,

is not all that it seems,

and yes that is a huge smoke ring coming out of it's chimney,

the building is BIG's Amager Bakke Waste-to-Energy Plant, which is currently under construction in Copenhagen, and features a 31,000-square-meter ski slope on its roof, but what actually is the building for? it is actually a waste plant that will emit zero emissions,

and the smoke rings? when 1 ton of CO2 is released there will be a smoke ring as a visual impact to consumption, these rings will be illuminated by lasers at night, the €470m ($611m) innovative project is being developed by the Copenhagen-based waste management company Amager Ressourcecenter (Amagerforbraending), Amager Ressourcecenter is jointly owned by five Copenhagen-area municipalities, namely Dragør, Frederiksberg, Hvidovre, Copenhagen and Tårnby,

Bjarke Ingels, the architect comments, "One of the things that I love about architecture is that it is the art and science of turning fiction into fact," Ingels says, "Right now you can say it's a science-fiction idea to have a power plant with smoke rings and ski slopes, but in three years they will ski on their power plants in Denmark." He adds: "It's really going to transform people's perception of what a public utility building should be. There is this world-changing element in architecture, that once you're done, now that's how the world is. When you started it was a crazy idea, now it's just how it is."

a waste disposal building that emits no emissions and a ski slope all in one, how neat is that?
