on the opposite bank,
that we normally walk along and found this imposing mansion,
opposite an equally imposing gate,
by the side of the mansion,
a tree avenue,
some of the statues,
had a dusting of snow, we retraced our steps and had a small lunch as tonight, the big one!
we paid extra to go to the Lido for a show and a meal,
as our river trip was cancelled,
'Cheers!',
from both of us,
included in the V.I.P. ticket was champagne and more than a few wines,
I really can not remember the names of each dish,
but I do know that they were all excellent,
wait a second,
I do remember this one, lobster,
we were entertained by the multi piece band as we ate,
another glass between courses,
then my steak,
and Diana's scallops arrived,
selfie stick,
it was then time for a dance if you wanted to,
we stuck with the desserts,
well how could you possibly turn down this chocolate extravaganza?
to round off the meal one of Diana's favorites arrived, but before I could turn on the camera, some one who shall remain nameless ate a piece of one!
we both thought that in all of the years we have been together, this was one of the best meals we have ever had, praise indeed!
then the show began,
and it was excellent,
the costumes, dancing, you name it, the meal and show could not have been better, words just cannot describe our evening, we both thoroughly enjoyed it so much,
what a totally fabulous last night in Paris,
we started on our way back to the hotel,
where we had a nightcap and were soon off to bed.
