Whilst Looking For Nothing In Particular,

I chanced upon these stunning photographs, 

 taken at Lake Baikal, in the mountainous Russian region of Siberia, north of the Mongolian border, it is considered to be the deepest lake in the world, and is circled by a network of hiking paths called the Great Baikal Trail, the village of Listvyanka, on its western shoreline, is a popular starting point for summertime wildlife-spotting tours, plus wintertime ice-skating and dog sledding, 

 and in this case taking stunning photographs,

 Russian photographer Kristina Makeeva (@hobopeeba) journeyed to Lake Baikal in Southern Siberia,  

 to take these views of the lake when it was frozen, 

 although the ice is super thick, there are areas where it does thin out and catch the unwary,

so it is better to travel on one of these, would I like to go there? yes please!
