Another Quiet Day For Us,

having said that I did pop out,

to pay our MasterCard bill and a few others that arrived in yesterday's post, in the evening it was feet up for The Chase,

 and a new game show for us, Alphabetical, 

three challengers and a champion take part on each episode, contestants start with 100 seconds to use in the final round and can earn more by correctly answering questions, during timed rounds, they may pass a question by saying "alphabetical",

First letter

Each contestant in turn has 60 seconds to answer as many questions as possible, with the correct answers all beginning with the same letter. The champion plays first, and a different letter is specified for each contestant. One second is added to the contestant's clock for every correct answer,

Last letter

Gameplay is identical to the first round, except that all of a contestant's correct answers will end with the same given letter,

and there are a few more rounds, last night the main prize was £18,600, a bit better than some of the other quiz shows we watch, we also watched,

 The Day After Tomorrow, a Domesday apocalypse film about the onset of global warming, so it got cold, 

and rounded the evening off with one more from The Frankenstein Chronicles, tonight's episode titled Not John Marlott, and with the end of that we were off to bed.
