that have somewhat missed the point,
that is, a translation that is computer generated that has not been read by a native speaker, well it happens in the UK as well, in Swansea, a town in coastal Wales, all the road
signs are posted in both English and Welsh, so when town officials wanted to add a sign dissuading trucks from
going down a certain road, they emailed their local translator to get the Welsh
version of the sign and received a instantaneous reply, not knowing Welsh, they assumed the words made sense and posted
them straight on the sign,
as the reply was instant, they should perhaps of realised the message which they thought was a translation actually read, "I am not in the office at the moment. Send any work
to be translated" an out of office auto-reply, and at no point did
anyone think to show it to an actual Welsh person, so here is the printed sign on display, well at least it gave the locals a laugh at the expense of the non-Welsh speaking council!
