Night Photography,

of the skies,

or astrophotography as it is is called, is for me fascinating, and here are a few examples of it from the Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2018, above Jake Mosher/National Maritime Museum

 James Stone/National Maritime Museum

 Łukasz Sujka/National Maritime Museum

 Marcel Drechsler/National Maritime Museum

and another from Marcel Drechsler/National Maritime Museum, if you want to see more like these and indeed see more details of how these were taken have a look here at the Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2018 shortlist, the winners will be announced on 23 October, and an exhibition of the winning images from the past 10 years of the contest will be on show at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich from 24 October, I just wish we were there.
