we were out for Sunday lunch,
so it was glad rags on,
and we were off to to The George, we have eaten there many times before, it is in Chaiyaphruek 2 Road, if you are going away from Pattaya heading towards Sattahip on the Sukhumvit Road, when you arrive at the Chaiyaphruek traffic lights turn right and the restaurant/pub is about 100 yards along the road on the left hand side,
we made our way past the well stocked bar,
and ordered our starters, chicken liver pate for Diana and Mr. Tony who joined us,
Caesar salad for myself,
and a carafe of wine,
on to the main courses with an ever smiling George,
and one of the waitresses,
a choice of beef, chicken or pork,
choice made,
and a quick photograph,
of us,
'Cheers!',
eyes down and here we go,
on to desserts,
we all choice the vinalia ice cream,
am I treated myself to a Jamaican coffee, what a delicious meal which was 395 baht for all you could eat, whilst having lunch a storm blew in, with winds and torrential rain,
lucky it had stopped by the time that Mr. Tony had kindly dropped us off,
on Jomtien Beach Road,
looking out to sea it seemed like more rain was on the way,
the water from the first storm had hardly drained away,
and there was lots of it coming up through the overladen drains,
feet up,
for the motorcyclists,
a quick pose,
and a look at this unusual statue,
then we made a move back home,
and by sheer happistance made it back just as it was starting to rain, we watched a number of Antiques Road Trips, and then rounded the evening off with a coupe from Columbo, and with the end of that we were off to bed.
