that Mexico in the past was so big,
Spanish colonists and missionaries settled in what was then
Mexico in 1598, then in 1821, Mexico won independence from Spain, and by the middle
of the century, it was in some ways far more advanced than its neighbor to the
northeast, it abolished slavery shortly after independence; black Mexicans soon
gained prominent positions, and indigenous people were given the right to vote,
but of course all of this was before photography became the norm, so no
photographs from this era are available, the Mexican administration ended
before photographic technology, revealed in Paris in 1839, arrived in the
region, so why is Mexico so much smaller today? in 1848, the United States after winning the war seized half of Mexico’s land and created the border that we know today, but here is the question that is being asked, will Mexico get its land back?
