It Looked Such A Nice Day,

we thought we would go to the beach,

so a quick walk down the pedestrian alleyway that leads to it,

 and here we were,

on an almost deserted Dongtan Beach Road,

after a few hundred yards, looking back work has nearly been completed on the road, pavement and drainage ditch, and it is here that the road ends,

and it is just pavement and the drain from here on,

the sand here becomes exceptionally wide, so the ditches do not meet up, the strange thing is if the sand was kept at the same width, the road could have continued,

 another few yards,

and we were at the usual place we sit,

as we walked it had slightly clouded over,

but it was still bright enough,

 Diana getting comfortable,

 we then ordered breakfast,

a club sandwich for Diana,

 and for myself,

chicken noodle soup, with some chillies and peppers, delicious!

after eating I started watching this chap,

who was metal detecting, with a few finds every 30 yards along the beach or so,

later in the afternoon, the doughnut man appeared,

 diet starts tomorrow!

no this family was not building sand castles, the were sifting the sand for those small clams that many people like to eat,

 then a bit of fun,

for someone being towed behind a boat in a parachute further down the bay,

as it became late afternoon we made a move for home, calling in at the 7-11 for some milk,

looking across the road I guess this might explain why the Internet drops out so often here at the condominium,

 looking out to sea,

and along Jomtien Beach Road, mainly blue skies, arriving home and after our evening meal, I was thoroughly thrashed at cribbage, we rounded the evening off with 2 more from Columbo, and were then off to bed.
