and this is where we were meeting, Magg's Restaurant on Thepprasit Road,
it was nicely laid out inside,
with a well stocked bar,
we sat inside with a view of the road,
and here they were, Jim and Mr. Tony,
a quiche for Jim,
pea and ham soup for Mr. Tony,
for Diana and myself,
a duck and orange salad,
on to our main courses, and there was plenty of it with a choice of lamb, beef, pork or chicken,
and here we all were,
so eyes down and tuck in,
next desserts,
Apple and raspberry crumble,
Rhubarb crumble,
but profiteroles for Diana,
and for myself?
sherry trifle, there is a choice of a starter and main course or a main course and dessert, which was 500 baht or if you chose lamb or crispy pork, all in all a great meal, after saying our farewells we started the walk home,
after
arriving home and watching a few games shows, it was feet up for the first of
our two evenings films, King Arthur:
Legend of the Sword, which was hugely enjoyable,
the sets, costumes, acting all first class, if you want to escape into this time
period this is it,
we rounded off our evening with Life, a sci-fi set on a space station, what started out as a routine space station/alien plot soon got a life of its own, with unforeseen circumstance resulting in a desperate and somewhat believable race against a single cell life force, that grows into a thinking menacing killing machine, a really enjoyable if sometimes freighting movie on a familiar theme, and with the end of that we were off to bed.
