in the late afternoon,
Mark called round for a tea and a chat,
after he left it was time for our evening meal, accompanied by a nice bottle of wine that Jim and Cher had kindly bought for us when they visited last week,
for tonight's meal an Indian, 'Cheers!',
and for dessert a real treat,
Swensens rum and raisin ice cream,
we then settled down to an evening of music, and as usual counted the number of apartments that were occupied in the block opposite us, by counting the lights that were on, and with that, as the midnight hour approached we were off to bed.
