Over The Weekend,

I had a telephone call,

 from Num Chai, to say that my Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ300 had been examined,

and the cost to repair it would be 6,475 bhat, (at todays rate £153.20 or $197.00), so I called in to pay for the repair, hopefully it will be back in 3 - 4 weeks according to the paperwork, arriving home we spent the late afternoon and after our evening meal in the early evening watching a few shows about antiques, then for the evenings films, firstly,

mud, blood, death, all three were waiting in the trenches of WW I, and Journey's End, brings them all together, the film follows a group of officers battling against all three, and the enemy, either in a uniform, or in the shape of a bottle, a very what I would attempt to say, real life like look at the Great War from one dugouts position, and the effect the war had on both officers and the soldiers they commanded,

to round off the evening Live by Night, an almost documentary film about bootlegging and the power struggles that took place in Florida and Cuba, looking at the gangs from one small time gang leader's point of view as he is sudeuced into joining the mob, both films totally different from their normal genres in their own way, both hugely enjoyable, and with that we were off to bed.
