This Is A Picture,

or I should say an artist's impression,


of the world's oldest known bird, it is an Archaeopteryx, which shows that the ancient creature’s plumage was very similar to that of modern-day birds, and that it was capable of flying, the first Archaeopteryx fossil was unearthed in Bavarian limestone in 1961, evidencing a beast halfway between a dinosaur and a bird,


and could this be any more like it's ancestor? according to the origin of birds scientific hypothesis, birds are modern-day dinosaurs - and this photo by JJJFrank shows how a baby Great Blue Heron looks just like an Archaeopetryx.
