so we were off,
down the red brick road,
and past the palm,
to Dongtan beach,
no cars as usual,
we went to our normal spot,
looking towards Sattahip,
and Pattaya,
the nutman called by, two packets for the squirrels, and one for us to nibble on,
and this is where the squirrels eat,
there is a wooden structure,
that I placed the nuts on,
6 or 8 at a time,
in a row,
and in no time at all,
the first one makes an appearance,
then a second red one,
the fresh orange juice seller makes his rounds,
time for more nuts,
next the white squirrel called by,
eating the last in the line,
and stretching for a few more at the back,
one of the fruit seller walks by,
for Diana a fresh cold coconut, a soda for myself,
one of the reds is back,
and the white,
another fruit sellers had the squirrels scampering for cover,
but they were soon back,
nuts, more nuts!
it was surprising how many the little blighters could eat,
it seemed like I could only listen to a track or two,
before I was up again replacing the eaten nuts,
and if I stopped they came looking!
one of the seafood sellers multi tasking,
our food arrived, chicken fried rice for Diana,
fine noodle chicken soup for myself,
a few more sellers walked by,
with their wares,
a heron alighted on one of the buoys,
as a second one joined it,
it looks so easy,
but having tried windsurfing, I know it is not for me,
in the late afternoon, the rains called by, we made
a move for home, after our evening meal it was feet up for Bargain Hunt, Antiques Road Trip and of course a few more from The Last Ship, and with the end of season 2 and a chuckle we were off to bed.
