I Occasionally Chance Upon,

an artist who uses GIFs,

as his artistic medium, the acronym stands for Graphics Interchange Format,

the images basically are linked together,

so they appear to be a never ending flick book,

I guess is the best way to describe the effect, I like this one particularly, I keep waiting for just one tile to not quite make it,

these are all the work of French student Étienne Jacob,  who creates optically-charged black and white GIFs, Jacob publishes his works to his Tumblr, Necessary Disorder

and here  is the good news, for any budding GIF animators out there, he provides step-by-step instructions on how to make your own version of a GIFs on his blog, what a nice chap giving away his artistic secrets.
