Armed With The Peanuts In Shells,

we bought yesterday,

we were off, firstly through the green that is beside the church,

where a couple of squirrels enjoyed a few nuts,

we were on our way to the doctors surgery to sign on, passing by one of the Indian restaurants on the way,

 we noticed this tricycle,

with it's vibrant colors and decorations, at the doctors I signed on, we are still waiting for one of the utilities companies to add Diana's name to one of the bills, before she will be accepted as my wife and living here,
we walked past the gate house,

 and into the park,

 over one of the bridges,

 and found our first squirrel,

 one of the waterfalls,

 a quick pose,

and a look at the lake,

the wildfowl were all following me, I had a plastic bag with the paperwork for the doctors, the birds were hoping the white bag was full of food for them,

in the distance two geese were being stalked,

 by a fox,

 which followed them,

to the waters edge, where the birds there put up a frightful noise,

giving up the fox looked for a new food source,

 me!

 with my white plastic bag,

I was a prime candidate for some free food,

so Diana threw it some peanuts, which apparently foxes like,

it looked in good health, and was surprisingly unafraid of humans,

meanwhile to the rear three geese were closing in behind Diana for some peanuts,

 a quick pose,

 a look across the lake,

one of the many tufted ducks, (Aythya fuligula) came by,

 time to stop,

 for a few photographs,

as we neared the end of one of the lakes,

on a branch cleaning itself, one of the Mandarin ducks, (Aix galericulata),

we passed a stump slowly being consumed by a fungus,

then it was feed the squirrels time,

 at first only one appeared,

 that rushed away,

to a branch to eat the peanut,

 and was soon back,

and had told his mates as another one arrived,

 some were quiet tame,

showing hardly any fear of humans at all,

 it was great fun,

 as they got bolder,

by now squirrels were surrounding Diana,

and the peanuts we brought with us,

were rapidly being eaten,

we will bring a few more next time,

 time for a photo op,

 of them in the trees,

we do not know squirrel for 'no more nuts',

I noticed this tree with a red and a bracket fungus,

 the bracket,

 and red looking surprisingly bright,

looking back to the lake there were a huge number of coots, (Fulica atra),

all in one area, normally I only see them in ones or two, and if you do not know the difference between a coot and a morehen here is a guide,

a last look at the lake as we make our way back,

as we crossed the last bridge, a nice treat, three Mandarin ducks were below us, the photograph above is the nearest I could zoom in on them with the camera I was using,

but using Microsoft Office Picture Manager I cropped one of the photographs to make the image bigger, after our evening meal I was out with Steve,

and this is where we were going, the Beckenham Cricket Club, we chatted the night away,

after saying goodbye I made my way through the park,

taking a few photographs of houses on the way,

on the lap top I do not have Photoshop, I tried giving the pictures a ghostly look using Microsoft Office Picture Manager, but failed miserably! arriving home a nightcap and one from Dr. Blake Mystery's and we were off to bed.
