Another Busy Day,

not for us,

 but for The Loft Storage Room Company, who arrived and set up ready for the job,

we were going to have a loft ladder fitted, so that we could use the attic for storage, and to put the computer and printer up there when the computer arrives from Thailand, the original opening was too small for the ladder,

 so it had to be made bigger,

  a couple of lights and power points were fitted,

 before the expanding ladder could be installed,

 in no time at all,

the ladder was fitted, and hatch completed, 

 a dust sheet had been put in place before work commenced, and anything that escaped that was hovered up when the job was finished,

job done, just a bit of paint needed and the easy part is finished, 

 ladder extended, we had to go with the heavy duty expanding ladder due to the high ceilings and lack of space where the opening was,

 hand holds on the ladder and a safety rail fitted up top, all very professional,

 Diana had never been in the attic before, so up she went,

 and here it is, what a mess! in the past I think the attic was where some of the staff stayed when the building was a full sized house before being converted into 8 flats,

 and now for the difficult part, we have got to remove all of the surplus pipes that are no longer used and dump all of the rubish I put up there so many years ago, clean out the dead pigeons, I kid you not! then get a carpet laid and move our bits and pieces when they arrive for Thailand up here,

 time for our evening meal,

 smoked salmon and avocado for our starters,

 and for our main course, 

 pork with stuffing and big chips for Diana,

 the same but with boiled potatoes for myself,

 for dessert,

 a brownie and ice cream,

 and to round the meal off, chocolates. 'Cheers!', as today is the 14th, of March, Happy Pi Day! Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th around the world, Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159, Pi Day is an annual opportunity for mathematic enthusiasts to recite the infinite digits of Pi, talk to their friends about math, and to eat pie, and the exact time to celebrate? at 1:59 pm so that the exact number 3.14159 can be reached, after our meal we listened to music for the rest of the evening, I am only making this one post today as I have an early appointment with the nurse for another blood test, apparently some people react to the tablets that I have been on for the past few weeks, the only way to monitor the effects are to have a blood test so it will be taken today and then back next week for the results, so with all of that, as the midnight hour approached we were off to bed.
