A Quick Look At Our Marine Aquarium,

well the four fish we have in it,

 and here they all are,

the blue one, Dory as he is known in the film Finding Dory, is a Regal Tang, (Paracanthurus hepatus),

naturally we have a small Nemo, from the film Finding Nemo, he is a common clownfish, (Amphiprion ocellaris),

as well as fish we have a few invertebrates like these stone anemones and a green polyp,

back to the fish a six lined wrasse, (Pseudocheilinus hexataenia),

and finally a Royal gramma, (Gramma loreto),

and here they all are in a video that Diana made,

we were out for a late Sunday lunch, so bus to the 194 stop by the cinema,

finally arriving at the Toby Carvery Eden Park,

the sign above the door says it all,

we were in the queue for the carvery,

 and soon seated,

 Diana was very hungry,

 'Cheers!',

 and for dessert,

 we shared a knickerbocker glory,

 then buses back home,

where passing the gate house the peonies were putting on a good show,

and were soon home,

on the way home we were chatting about films and Diana said she would like to watch The Third Man, so we did for the first few scenes, then it all went to pieces, looking at the disc it was in a terrible state, as if a fungus or mould had grown under the varnished coat, which was especially annoying as we had ordered the disc from the UK when we lived in Thailand, but there it was, into the bin it went,

next up Madagascar, which was great fun to watch, and with the end of that we were off to bed.

  1. I really want to know your secret, Stan, of how you can eat so much and still keep your slim figure. Makes me rather jealous.

  2. Dear Jil, a quick look at what seems to work for me, every breakfast and evening meal, one slice of pumpernickel bread, no butter, cut into 4 pieces, and covered with app. 100 grams of just one of the following, ham, smoked salmon, chicken, pork, beef, egg mayonnaise or tuna, on top of each quarter a slice of cucumber and tomato, and a few extra slices around the plate and a tad of low cal mayonnaise, in the mornings followed by a banana, in the afternoon some fruit, in the evenings the same as the morning without the banana with sometimes later in the evening tea and a few biscuits, or fruit, no breakfast on Sundays as we are having a big lunch, just a snack in the evening, on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, a 3 course evening meal, no alcohol on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, unless there is a special occasion, and six days a week I throw a few weights around, nothing too strenuous, but I do break out in a sweat, my weight swigs between 78 - 80 kilos consistently, also I should say I have the occasional packet of crisps or twiglets and we both snack on fruit in the evenings, last night for instance cherries and a peach, the above keeps me from feeling hungry and seems to keep the weight down to what I guess is acceptable, also if we are going out in the day and having a meal/snack out, cream tea for instance, miss the morning or evening meal, give it a try if you think it may help reduce weight, it certainly seems to work for me!, best regards, Stan and Diana.
