As Promised,

Grieg arrived bright an early,

as did the builders today to have a look at the roof to be repaired, so with them looking at work to be done I am only making this one post today, back to Grieg who started to work on assembling,

 all of our furniture for upstairs,

 in it appeared no time at all,

 that things were falling into place,

 computer desk all ready to go,

 the first of the two mini bookcases in place,

here the second,

 followed by the first of the slightly larger ones,

 Mums bed for when she visits, and a chest of drawers ready to go, 

  I have brought up the monitor from downstairs,  

 next buy a few cables and a few extension leads, the plastic mat under the chair making the chair easy to move, 

 and all is completed, so we can finally start unpacking, but wait a second what is that in the far dark corner? first we had pigeons up here, inches of dead bodies and guano, next the bats moved in, they were easy to rid of, or so we thought till we came to the vampires, we both got bitten to pieces, 

 and now this,

 an owl!

 Harry Potter would have been so proud! well lets face it, no man attic would be complete without an owl,

 and here it is, furniture all completed,

and I can start bring up some of my books, minerals, etc from downstairs, and the ones already up here are in their new home,

meanwhile Grieg downstairs was making up the final piece, a shoe rack for the hall, in all in all 8 pieces of furniture assembled in under 6 hours, it would have taken almost that long for me to complete one, great job Grieg, you will be getting a call when we buy a second shoe rack to go in the wardrobe,

 so I started taking the first of a few bits and pieces upstairs, and in one of the boxes found our refrigerator magnets,

 so I just had to unpack them, 

 each one was individually packed in bubble wrap,

 as I unwrapped each one,

so many many memories came flooding back, 

after my evening meal I watched Enemy of the State, a very enjoyable if somewhat disturbing movie, I am guessing that by now, (the film was released in 1998), many of the surveillance items used are now in fact up and running and also available to those that want them, Diana called just after 11.30 to say she was on the bus home, so I walked to the bus stop to meet her, arriving home a coffee, one from Game of Thrones and we were off to bed.
