The Magpies,

made their usual breakfast visit,

although the same family as the crows,

they are much more shy, if I see the birds eating I open the window and throw out a few more peanuts, no problem for the crows, as they are at them almost before they hit the ground, but at the slightest opening of the window the magpies are off on their wings,

a walk through the park, and a number 54 bus,

 to the war memorial,

and this is where I was going to pick up my jacket with its nice new zip, the Regal Dry Cleaners, and it was not any old zip as was supplied original, the replacemant was a KKK zip, the best there is, and as used by Aviation Leathercraft, some ago I bought two leather jackets from them, 40 years later both jackets are showing, through wear their age, but the zips by KKK are as good as the day they were made, back to the Regal Dry Cleaners, all done and dusted, it would have been ready the same day but I had to leave early to visit Duncan, what a great, easy, friendly service, as looking at the length of the zip not an easy or quick job but it was done the same day, you can not say better than that!

 back past the memorial,

 and through the park home,

Steve called by in the afternoon and kindly gave us an orchid, he had two similar ones and thought it would be fun to see which one of us could get one of then to flower first, the race is on! after saying farewell I was upstairs,

to play with a couple of infrared photographs, this one out of the camera,

 color swapped,

and some color and detail/structure added,

 a lot more color,

then taking away the colour, a black and white,

next a sepia mask, giving it a nice period look,

 the same tower,

 but at the base,

 colour swapped and added,

I went a bit overboard with an orange sky,

 black and white,

and a vintage look,

Diana's shift finished at 8.00 in the evening, so a tad before 9.00 I was walking to the 162 bus stop to meet her,

and what was this thing crawling up the lamp post? Beckenhams Christmas decorations, only just over a month to go,

as Diana was home relatively early, we decided to watch a film that Diana had not seen before, The Blues Brothers, which we both enjoyed watching, it was great fun naming all of the famous stars in the movie from the world of music at that time, a great movie for us, and as an aside here are 5 little known facts from the movie, going back to the stars in it, one that catches most people out, Steven Spielberg, yes that Steven Spielbergcan you remember him from the movie? in case you can not here he is, the guy in the middle, it was now well past midnight, so for us we were off to bed.
