The Mystery Of Mullion Island,

may be solved,

an ever increasing number of rubber bands have been found on the uninhabited island, just of off the Cornish coast in the UK, literally thousands of rubber bands are appearing on the island, photograph credit National Trust/Seth Jackson, now scientist and park rangers believe it is birds that are bringing the bands to the island, apparently they are mistaking the bands that are used by local flower growers in the area, the birds mistake the bands as food, probably worms, one hopes that growers will be more careful in the future and hopefully biodegradable rubber bands will be made.
