and what will you meet on the way down? that is explained by the really neat deep sea scrolling illustration by Neal Agarwal, just click here and keep scrolling down, I have to admit I did not expect to find a couple deep sea birds on the way down, one, a thick-billed murre, will search for food as deep as 210 meters, and it is no slouch at flying either as it will hit speeds of up to 75 mph, then although it does not fly, at a staggering 520 meters an Emperor penguin can be found! what a neat way to visualize the depths of the ocean.
