normally we have a roast dinner on Sunday's,
but not today, so off to the 354 bus stop for the bus to Bromley,
the restaurant is big and spacious,
offering a mix of buffet foods, it has an open kitchen serving Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Thai and
Italian dishes,
starting with the salad bar,
it had a great selection,
so good we both had a salad to start,
so far so good,
I liked the look of the crab claws as we had a look around,
back to the table for our drinks, unfortunately no one had told the bar steward that you most definitely do not put ice in sherry, he did not know that, but there it is, next time I order a sherry I must remember to say no ice!
off for our starters,
and one of my favorites, beetroot,
Diana next,
first main course,
'Cheers!',
and here is a nice touch, the staff must have seen that we had a course with mainly Indian food, and without asking brought us some nan bread, which was freshly prepared just for us, we knew this as Diana watched the chef cook the bread, that was then brought directly to our table, you can not get fresher than that!
a 'Cheers!', from Diana, and no she did not drink my wine!
we had another couple of main courses,
then on to desserts, fresh fruit for Diana, ice cream with chocolate for myself
well I had to say farewell to the laughing Buddha! the meal came to £61.00 including drinks, which considering the amount and variety of food on offer we both thought fair,
Diana all wrapped up from the cold as we caught the bus back, where it was home and feet up for the rest of the afternoon,
in the evening we watched a couple of films, firstly Blade Runner, the original 1982 version, which we had watched before, a film I really liked then and now, just a shame at the time of its release many thought the film not so good, but there it is,
before the next film Diana roasted some chestnuts for us to snack on, then it was time for Tremors 4: The Legend Begins, great fun as in the late 1880s the worms make their first appearance, if you liked the previous 3 Tremors movies I am guessing you will like this one, it is again I guess, the last in the series as it was made in 2004, and no news of a Tremors 5 so far, with the end of that and the chestnuts we were off to bed.
