since the lockdown began,
we decided on a walk in the park,
it was so nice to walk outside,
we soon found a place in the shade of one of the many trees there,
and what a treat, this is the first time we have been able to use the picnic hamper that Steve from Rainham bought for us, many thanks Steve!
and inside everything we needed,
ah, sit back and take the rays,
well actually we were in the shade as Diana did not want to get brown,
so first job,
open the bubbly,
opposite us in the far distance a few more families in the shade,
Diana had made a selection of sandwiches,
and had also bought some mini pork pies and scotch eggs,
after all of that a quick 40 winks,
well all of that walking was tiring!
on to our dessert, current scones, with lashings of fresh Devon cream,
topped with,
as much jam as I could get on top,
delicious!
diet starts tomorrow!
we spent the rest of the afternoon reading and listening to music,
we decided to take a different route home,
looking back to the mansion, and the reason for the different route?
the ice cream van of course! it was parked up by the tennis courts, many thanks to Beckenham Steve for the tip off as he saw it on one of his runs, but it was not to be, the queue was enormous, so home we walked, after watching a couple of quiz shows it was getting late,
so on with tonight's film, Holmes & Watson (2018), despite it's appalling reviews we both quite enjoyed the film, although luckily we watched the International, not the American version, in the version we watched the scene opens with Watson's suicide attempt, the misunderstandings between the pair of them as Watson was on the roof was trying to jump and Holmes on the ground trying to help him jump, but totally being misunderstood by Watson, sets the scene, the movie falls flat in a couple of places, but for us, overall a good bit of fun, which New Tricks was not as it took on a case of human trafficking, and with the end of that and an exhausting day, we were off to bed.
