First Thing,

one of the foxes came limping across the lawn,

maybe he was in a fight? and was looking sorry for himself,

and was joined by one of the cubs, I am only making one post again today as we will be out early,

so on to today, glad rags on,

and off to the station,

as we bought 2 travel together tickets we can not travel before 09.30 in the morning, so we arrived at the station just before, to catch the first train past 09.30, normally going to London on the platform opposite, at this time normally there are crowds of people in my age group all going to London and catching the first available train, but this morning, not a single passenger was waiting for the London train, it is amazing how so many people are not traveling, which is great for us!

 a quick smile,

 sans mask,

I forgot to mention where we were going, for today Broadstairs,

we made our way past the water tower,

 and memorial,

Diana had a look in one of the gift shops,

whilst I had a look at some of the old buildings,

 in the High Street,

and some of the cottages in streets leading off of it,

I had to have a look in the local aquatic store,

the town has quite a history, and an association with Charles Dickens

hence the name of the pub,

we arrived at the top of the seafront,

 and took in the view,

the town had a nice beach,

at one end a breakwater and restaurant,

 at the other a breakwater,

with a bay in the center,

before going to the beach we had a wander,

looking at some of the shops,

 and pubs in the area,

some of the shops really quaint,

with some of the original buildings and arches still standing,

 we made our way down,

and continued our walk along the beach side road,

 with the usual shops,

and like Herne Bay, crabbing seems to be a popular sport,

 this looked interesting, a pub,

 with a restaurant above,

I had a look at the beach,

and one of the beach-side shops,

as Diana checked the menu out,

 all looked good,

 so upstairs we went,

we were early, by the time we had finished our meal the place was packed,

so we settled down, a coke for Diana, a bottle of bubbly for myself,

the menu for starters, what a selection!

for Diana prawn and squid tempura,

a white crab meat salad for myself,

for our man course, filleted sea bream for Diana,

traditional fish and chips for myself,

 'Cheers!',

Diana's main meal came with a very impressive salad,

with roast potatoes, large chips came with mine,

time for a pose before tucking in, what a meal! there was so much of it we could not eat it all, the bill came to a tad under £90.00, the name of the pub/restaurant is The Tartar Frigate, and very nice it was too, the food excellent,

we made our way back to the beach,

a quick pose,

and we were on our way downstairs,

 to the beach,

 it was glorious, so hot,

as with many beaches in the UK,

you can buy or rent beach huts,

 like these,

as these are all locked up, I am guessing many of the owners are not local,

Diana taking the rays on the sand, which we both commented on, was super fine,

we walked to the middle of the beach,

 and started climbing,

 well I had to have,

 a pose or two,

  nearly at the top,

 a panorama of the beach,

we started the walk to the station, pausing to buy a refrigerator magnet,

the station like Beckenham Junction, deserted,

all this traveling and walking around was thirsty work,

so a swift couple in O'Neil's in Beckenham,

 and back through the park,

passing the dahlias in Foxgrove Lodge, still putting on a good show,

the refrigerator magnet in place, it was feet up for a nightcap or three, whilst watching a New Tricks, which for some reason did not finish until after midnight, when for us we were off to bed.
